Shihni
The last time I saw Gary and Betty, we had lunch at a Chinese restaurant in Rogersville in the fall of 2014. We shared updates on our lives and reminisced about memories from the past. He was his usual self--quirky, funny, talkative, and thoughtful. The next time I phoned over our regular calls on holidays, I learned that Betty had gone to be with the Lord. Gary was devastated. He had so much love for her..
After a few unanswered calls to his house, I finally just learned about his passing and wanted to express my thoughts about Gary--a man who was smart, kind, generous, stubborn, compassionate, sentimental, handy, enthusiastic, humorous, competitive, partoratic, but most of all,a man who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.
Even though I am saddened by this news, I feel assured to know that he too, has joined Betty and now they are both resting in God's arms.
