Gary Holten's Obituary
Gary Leon Von Holten, age 47 of Bolivar, passed away at 7:20 AM Saturday, in the Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar after a short illness. Gary was born on August 22, 1961 in Sedalia, MO the son of Leon Henry Von Holten and Bonnie Grace (Howell) Von Holten. He was Baptized a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Sedalia, MO. He was resided in Bolivar for the past 30 years and his last residence was the Silo Ridge Group Home in Bolivar. Gary loved music and books, and had a collection of small cars & trucks. He also loved sports. Surviving is his parents, Leon and Bonnie Von Holten of Phillipsburg, MO; two brothers, Neil Von Holten and wife Sheryl of Sedalia, MO; Craig Von Holten of Sedalia, MO; two nieces, Amy & Mary Von Holten of Sedalia, MO; an aunt, Nila Holcroft of Versailles, MO; Also numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives from out of state. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Our Savior's Lutheran Church at Camdenton, MO with Pastor Don Rothweiler officiating.
