Geneva Goins (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Geneva (Turner) Goins, daughter of Vester and Ella (Casinger) Turner, was born on October 10, 1938, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma and departed this life on the morning of Saturday, March 11, 2023, at her home in Ozark, Missouri. She was the time of her passing 84 years, five months, and one days of age.
At a young age, Geneva and her family made a move to Compton, California. During her time in California, she would meet her future husband, Robert Goins, while he was serving in the Navy. They would both eventually move to Illinois on Christmas day of 1958, and just a few weeks later on January 4, 1959, they would be joined in marriage. To this union three sons were born: William (Bill) Goins, David Goins, and Robert (Bobby) Goins. In 1975 Geneva and the family would move to, and ultimately make their home in, Halfway, Missouri. This is where they would run and operate their dairy farm.
Geneva was the salt of the earth and a likeable person. She was also faithful follower of Jesus Christ. She gave her heart to the Lord on April 9, 1978, and faithfully followed Him till she left this earth. She could be heard saying, “I love you Lord” often. Her Bible was always open next to her, and she loved reading it. In it were many notes and underlining’s. She was also a faithful member of New Life Assembly in Halfway for 40 plus years. Geneva also enjoyed the outdoors. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, watching birds, hunting, fishing, and camping.
Geneva was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one son, David Goins; and her two brothers, Paul and Alton Turner. She is survived by two sons, Bill Goins and Bobby Goins; 11 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She is loved dearly and will be tremendously missed.
