Geneva Darlene Lindsay (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Geneva Darlene Lindsay, daughter of Clyde Wilson and Mary Louise Myers Caudle, was born January 10, 1940, in Winnipeg, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, October 25, 2019, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-nine years, nine months, and fifteen days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ed Mask, Sr.; a son, Edward Mask, Jr.; a great-grandson, Clyde Ray Smith; two brothers, Wayne Caudle and Charles Caudle; and three sisters, Karen Sullivan, Carol Stevens, and Nicole Caudle.
Darlene is survived by three daughters, Connie Alam-Shoushtari, and Clifford Rogers, of Lebanon, Missouri, Teresa Chandler, and her husband, Rob, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, and Christie Jones, and her husband, Jerry, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; two sons, Tony Caudle, and his wife, Shirley, of Liberty, Missouri, and Randy Lindsay, of Lebanon, Missouri; a foster son, Anthony Hall, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of grandchildren, including a special grandson, Caleb Smith; several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jimmie Caudle, and his wife, Brenda, of Kansas City, Kansas, Mike Caudle, and his wife, Kathleen, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Danny Caudle, and his wife, Diane, of Cuba, Missouri; four sisters, Phyllis Wilson, and her husband, Dee, of Long Lane, Missouri, Glenda Willis, and her husband, Rick, of Strafford, Missouri, Kathy Toops, and her husband, Dennis, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Judy Cotrel, and her husband, Sonny, of Kansas City, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Buddy Sullivan, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Competition community, and graduated from high school. She then moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she worked for the Ford Motor Company for several years. She soon returned to Lebanon, and worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at Breech Medical Center for thirteen years. Later, she worked as a home health aide and, through the years, took care of many seniors in her home.
She enjoyed playing games and especially Bingo and Yahtzee. She was an excellent cook and liked making special recipes for her family and friends. She always put others before herself and was a very caring person. She loved spending time with her family, and particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Darlene was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a good friend to many. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime
