George Ann Meuschke, 84, of Lebanon, MO, formerly of Marshall, MO, died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall, MO with Pastor William W. Harlow officiating. Memorials are suggested to Butterfield Youth Services of Marshall, MO, and may be made through the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, MO.
Born Oct. 6, 1930 in Excelsior Springs, George Ann was the daughter of the late George C. Ficklin and Gladys M. Sippel Ficklin. She was raised in Moberly MO, graduated high school in Jefferson City, MO in 1948 and attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO. She was married to Allen Sayre Parish on Sept. 10, 1949 in Jefferson City, MO. They moved to Marshall, MO in 1960.
George Ann worked at Farmers Savings Bank and Butterfield Youth Services in Marshall, MO. On Nov. 29, 1975, she married George J. Meuschke of Marshall. They retired near Bennett Springs State Park, Lebanon, MO in the summer of 1981. They returned to Marshall, MO in 1989. George preceded her in death in 2004. She moved to Arkansas in 2012 and then to Lebanon, MO in 2014.
Survivors include 5 children, Ann S. Parish Andrews(David) of Fayetteville, AR, Allen S. Parish (Terri) of Corpus Christi, TX, John C. Parish of Lebanon, MO, Mary M. Parish Thompson of Branford, CT, Tom E. Parish (Kelly) of Overland Park, KS; 4 stepchildren , John Meuschke (Pat) of Sarasota, FL, Gaylen Meuschke Eades (Paul) of Chesterfield, MO, Jeff Meuschke of Kansas City, MO and preceded in death by Fred Meuschke formerly of Overland Park, KS; 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 10 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
