George Creel (Lebanon)'s Obituary
George Michael Creel, a retired truck driver and welder, passed away on April 8th at the age of 68.
He will be remembered by his family, friends, and community as a funny, loving, and outgoing man
who never met a stranger.
Born to Ardina Rogers, George was the eldest of five siblings. He is survived by his mother,
daughter Christina Graham and her husband Brian, grandchildren Ashton Graham and Kaitlin Jolliff,
younger brother Larry Parker, younger sister Susan Crowder, and youngest twin brothers Thomas
Edward Creel and Thomas Franklin Creel. His furry companion "Lil Bit" meant the world to him.
George had a passion for fishing, and he was always eager to make new friends and try new things
like candle-making or rock tumbling. He was also interested in guns, collecting pocket knives,
chess, brainteasers, and any silly get-rich-quick scheme.
He had a unique and quirky personality that made people smile. He was happy-go-lucky, upbeat,
and fairly goofy, and he had a way of making people laugh. George's family was the most
important thing to him, and he loved spending time with them.
One of my fondest memories of my dad was when we went fishing when I was younger. My dad
was fishing a ways down from me when he suddenly jumped up and began yelling something
unintelligible. He reeled his poles in, grabbed his equipment, and started running toward me as he
dodged and weaved. It turned out that my dad was yelling about large hail pelting him and yelling
at me to run to the house before the hail got to me too.
George Michael Creel will be remembered as a funny, loving, and caring man who didn't mind
being silly in order to make people laugh. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Rest
in peace, George.
