George Lee Cunningham (Buffalo)'s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the passing of George Cunningham, Sr., age 83 years, two months, and 13 days, who passed away suddenly on March 26, 2025. George was born on January 13, 1942 in Red Bluff, California to the late Ernest Cunningham and Mabel Talley Cunningham.
George graduated from Corning Union high School in 1960. There he ran track, played basketball and baseball. He worked many jobs in California, some included working in olive plants, fruit picker, hauled hay, milked cows and he carried this work ethic into Missouri when he moved with his parents in 1966.
George soon met the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, the late Paula AKA Susie Cunningham, and they were married on March 24, 1968. This marriage was blessed with three children George Jr, Lori and Tammie. George worked two or three jobs at times just so that Susie was able to stay home with the kids. George worked for Dallas County Road and Bridge for 18 and a half years and was a Mail Carrier for 25 years at the Tunas post office before retiring.
George loved fishing and hunting, playing cards with friends and family, playing croquet or badminton and enjoyed visits from neighbors and family. One thing George loved the most dearly was being with his grandkids and his great-grandsons. George also mourned over his late wife Susie's death and longed to be with her every day since her passing. "I have loved you with an eternal love." Jeremiah 31: 3.
