On December 24, 1966, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Lou Sissell, where they made their home in Seymour, for 53 years together. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Donna Coffer; brothers, Paul, Johnny, and David Pruett; sisters, Alice McCullough, Mary Williams, Nadine Barker and Goldie Bryant. Aaron is survived by his wife, Bonnie; son, Paul Aaron Pruett and wife, Lessli, of Seymour; daughter, Susan Conley and husband, Butch, of Rogersville; grandchildren, Christy Harness, Brian Cornelison, McKenzie Conley, Kirsten Conley, Trista Coffer, Kaylee Terry and husband, Grant, and Shane Pruett; great-grandchildren, Payton Coffer, Myles Moesner, Brighton Terry and Bailey Harness; brother, Bill Pruett and wife, Edna, of Nixa; step-brother, Bee Lakey of Diggins; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Aaron was raised in the Dogwood area. In 1954, he and his brother, Bill, joined the United States Army at the same time, where they served their entire military time together, with part of that being in Germany for 18 months. They both served until 1956. Aaron then worked for Hutchens Steel Industries in Marshfield, and after that became a custodian for the Springfield School District, where he retired from after 20 years. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and attended the Seymour Nazarene Church. He served the Lord as church custodian and door greeter. In his spare time, he loved going to church and reading his Bible, coon hunting, raising Walker hounds, gardening, working on and around the farm, picking up sticks and digging up rocks. He especially loved his grandchildren. Aaron was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, Christian, and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will cherish the many special times we had together.
A memorial to Coffers Coffee House at Seymour Nazarene Church has been established and may be made through HHFH P.O. Box 366, Seymour, MO 65746 or left at the funeral home or church.
