Georgena Ann Todd (Hartville)'s Obituary
Georgena (George) Ann Todd (Arnall), daughter of William (Red) F. Arnall Jr. and Helen Marie Arnall (Lockhart), was born October 6, 1960 in Peoria, Illinois and departed this life July 25, 2016 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri after losing her battle with cancer at the age of fifty-five years, nine months, and nineteen days.
On April 17, 1978 Georgena was united in marriage to James (Jim) Roger Todd. To this union three children were born, James Edward (Jet) Todd, Tara Nicole (Todd) Lowrance, and Christopher Ellis Todd.
Georgena was preceded in death by her loving husband Jim; her son, Jet; her parents, Red and Marie; one brother, Thomas Allen Arnall; her father-in-law, Floyd Ellis Todd; and one brother-in-law, Karl Cowsert.
Georgena leaves to morn her passing two children, her daughter, Tara Lowrance and her husband Rick of Lebanon, Missouri, who have blessed her with seven grandchildren, Mariah, Brenden, Paige, Kimberlee, Ethan, Kallee Jo, and Mackenzie; her son, Christopher Todd and his wife Natalee of Crocker who have blessed her with two grandchildren, Gunner and Blaine; her mother-in-law, Laura Mae Todd of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, James Arnall and Bill Arnall and his wife Connie of Richland, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Cowsert of Nixa, Missouri, Shirley Cook and her husband Dale of Lebanon, Missouri, and Shelly Arnall of Republic, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Gregory Todd; nine nieces, Toyea, Tonyea, Jamie, Julie, Beth, Alisha, Breonna, Emily, and Sydney; four nephews, Roger, Wayne, Colby, and Jared; many other family members, extended family and countless friends.
Georgena accepted our Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized at the Shaddy Church of Christ on May 25, 1980.
Georgena worked for seven years at H.D. Lee of Richland and a few years for Wal-Mart of Lebanon. She then found her calling when she came to work for EDP of Ft. Leonard Wood. She took immense pride in serving our troops and enjoyed thirteen wonderful years doing what she loved.
Georgena enjoyed spending her time practicing her hobbies, which included, fishing, cooking, floating down the river, roller skating, and playing Bingo just to name a few. George volunteered her time as a member and was First Vice President at the American Legion Hall Auxiliary, Post 24. She also volunteered her time as a firefighter for the Tri-County Fire Protection District where she found a love for weather watching. Most importantly, she loved and cherished spending time with her beloved family and friends.
Georgena will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her, but most of all by her family and friends. Although her time on Earth was short and filled with trials and troubles, she is now at peace and home with our Lord.
