Georgia Bell's Obituary
Georgia Mae Bell, daughter of George and Mattie Cox Harrill, was born June 21, 1926, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, November 22, 2009, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years, five months, and one day. On September 23, 1947, she was united in marriage to Robert John Bell, and to this union one daughter and three sons were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert, on June 24, 1999; a great-grandson, Connor Lee Bell; and a brother, Bobby Martin Harrill. Georgia is survived by a daughter, Connie Ayers, and her husband, Cary, of Little Rock, Arkansas; three sons, Robert Bell, Jr., and his wife, Patricia, of Cuba, Missouri, Danny Bell, and his wife, Teresa, and David Bell, and his wife, Melanie, all of Lebanon, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Judy, Jason, Shannon, Andy, Nathan, Alexandra, and Meagan; five great-grandchildren, Jordan, Athena, Arrion, Caterina, and Caiden; one great-great-grandchild, Lexi; three brothers, Darrell Harrill, and his wife, Dorothy, Grant Harrill, and his wife, Patricia, all of Lebanon, Missouri, and Paul Harrill, and his wife, Elvie, of Hacienda Heights, California; two sisters, Patricia Martin, and her husband, Joe, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Jane Brackett, and her husband, Keith, of Kansas City, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; a special friend and former son-in-law, Johny Adams; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area, and graduated from Stoutland High School. After she and Robert were married, they made their home in Lebanon and lovingly raised their children. In addition to being a devoted and hardworking homemaker, Georgia also worked at the Rice Stix Factory in Lebanon, and continued with the H. D. Lee Company for a total of thirty-three years; making her way to supervisor before retiring in 1992. Later, she worked with special needs children in the developmental center and in home health care. Georgia was a longtime member of Mount Olivet Assembly of God Church, where she was actively involved in various phases of church work. She belonged to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the American Association of Retired Persons. In her spare time she enjoyed caring for her yard, growing beautiful flowers, going to garage sales, and particularly shopping at the Thrift Store. She also was a faithful member of the Coffee Club at Bell Restaurant. Her family was very important to her and she greatly enjoyed going to family reunions. Georgia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday November 25, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Mount Rose Memorial Park. Visitation is Tuesday Evening 7-8:30 p.m. under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established to the Mt. Olivet Assembly of God Church.
