On May 27, 1950, she was united in marriage to Charles E. Pritchard, Jr., and to this union one daughter and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two granddaughters, Tracy Shively, and Jennifer Pritchard; a brother, Harvey Swigert; and two sisters, Linda Sue Atkinson, and Barbra Barnett.
Georgia is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Charles, of the home; a daughter, Christina Shively, and her husband, Charles, of Prairie Home, Missouri; two sons, Mike Pritchard, and his wife, Kimberly, of Richland, Missouri, and Charles Pritchard, III, and his wife, Connie, of Louisburg, Kansas; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a brother, Roy Swigert, of Hermitage, Missouri; a sister, Frances Bagett, of North Bend, Oregon; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Kansas, and then moved with her family to Phillipsburg, Missouri, when she was two and one half years old. She then attended Phillipsburg and Conway Schools. After she and Charles were married, they lived in various places in Kansas and Missouri where Charles was serving as a pastor. In addition to being a devoted homemaker and mother to her children, Georgia was also a supportive minister’s wife and helped in his ministry through the years. Eventually, she and Charles made their home on their cattle farm near Richland, Missouri.
Georgia had made her profession of belief in God and followed the Full Gospel Pentecostal faith.
She liked working with the cattle on their farm and enjoyed gardening and sewing in her spare time. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Georgia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
