Georgie Duffield's Obituary
Georgie Margaret Duffield, daughter of George Milton and Margaret Eulala Hinton Adams, was born April 30, 1931, in Kansas City, Kansas. She departed this life Wednesday, September 14, 2011, in Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City, Missouri, at the age of eighty years, four months and fifteen days.
She was united in marriage to Lester Duffield and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a son-in-law, Gary Hill.
Survivors include five children, Jean Bacon and Steve Harper of Holden, Missouri, Susan Hill of St. Louis, Missouri, Sharon Langley and husband Dana of Macks Creek, Missouri, Martin Bacon of Camdenton, Missouri, and Steven Bacon of Jefferson City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Erik Jensen, Sherri Perkins, Jerome Reece and Nick Bacon; and other relatives and many friends.
Georgie was raised and lived most of her life in the Kansas City, Kansas area. She worked as a Ward Clerk for K.U. Medical Center and later at Bethany Hospital. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Crane, Missouri, for a time. She retired to Camdenton, Missouri, in the early 2000?s.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Osage Beach. Her church and reading the Bible were two of the most important things in her life.
In her spare time, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Spending time with her family brought her great joy.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a caring neighbor and friend. She will be greatly missed, but her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
