Jerol Laughlin
For a time Jerry stayed with his parents. Benny worked for Laughlin Motor Company and they lived next door to us, the Ralph and Pauline Laughlin Family. Jerry and my sister, Pat, were the same age, and they were close friends. After he joined the army, he and Pat wrote to each other. The last she heard from him, he was preparing ship out. The next time we had word of him was when Benny and Mary got notice of his missing in action which had occured just a couple of weeks after he reached Korea. I was six years younger than he, but I remember him still, and our family mourned his passing. I still have a picture of him on his bike. I will look for it and give to the family if I can l can locate it.
