Gerald Lee Mallory (Seymour)'s Obituary
Gerald Lee Mallory, age 77 of Seymour, Missouri passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at Glenwood Healthcare. Gerald was born April 17, 1940 in Webster County, Missouri, one of two sons born to Lillard Logan “Jack” Mallory and Mildred (Calhoun) Mallory. On April 30, 1965 in Springfield, Missouri he was united in marriage to Joan D. Williams.
Gerald worked the family farm for a time and had worked in factories in Marshfield. A bit later in life he became a taxidermist and enjoyed that for several years before retiring. He then went on to hand make collectible fishing lures and was a member of the National Fishing Lure Collectors Club. He enjoyed wood carving and sold several pieces, with fish being his favorite. When he could he always enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal grandparents James & Essie Calhoun; his paternal grandparents William B. & Millie L. Mallory and his only brother Darrell Dee Mallory on April 29, 2017; a sister-in-law and 7 brothers-in-law including one very special to him Darris Williams.
Gerald is survived by his wife of 52 years Joan of the home; 2 sisters-in-law, Helen Mallory of Seymour, MO and Rosemarie Williams of Jefferson City, MO as well as members of Joan’s family and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
