Geraldine was introduced to the love of her life, Russell Lee Jeffries on a blind date set up by Becky Frederick. Marley said they could marry but under one condition, that they had to wait till after she graduated. They were united in marriage the next evening after graduation on May 23, 1958 at Myetta Missionary Baptist Church, Camdenton, Missouri. To this union five children were born. Together they shared sixty beautiful years of marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Terry Lee Jeffries and her sister Barbara Jean Price.
Survivors include her husband, Russell of the home; her children, Tammy Cuvillier of Montreal, Missouri, Teresa Jeffries and David of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Kathy Nockunas and husband Erick of Montreal, Missouri and Rusty Jeffries and wife Lori of Montreal, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
Geraldine spent her childhood years in Hugo, Missouri and graduated from Camdenton R-III School. Russell and Geraldine made their home in Montreal, Missouri where they raised their children and loved to farm. Her grandchildren had a passion for her mashed potatoes. They would not allow anyone but her to make them for them. They said that “no one can make them like grandma.” She had worked as a pharmacy assistant and a med tech for many years.
She was saved and was a member of Myetta Missionary Baptist Church.
Geraldine had a special talent for growing big beautiful roses. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles and watch Survivor. The thing she enjoyed most, was the time spent with her family. No matter where you would see her, you would always get a smile.
She had created many memories for all that knew and loved her. She was a loving and giving wife, mom, grandma and a caring neighbor and friend.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home.
