Geraldine Rains (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mrs. Geraldine Rains, age 86 of Humansville, MO passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 at the University Of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO
She was born on March 19, 1930 in Fair Play, MO the daughter of Edgar Fisher and Mary (Bugg) Fisher. A child of the Depression, she remained throughout her entire life a woman of simple taste and practical means. If there was something that could be reused, Geraldine kept it. In her early years, she was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed embroidery. Later in life she would come to love gardening, and through her whole life she would wake up with the sun to milk the cows. This was all in addition to her main job at American Can Co., as well as her favorite job, being a mother.
Geraldine is preceded in death by two husbands; Leonard Mann and Paul E. Rains, as well as her three brothers, Harley, Lewis, and Bruce Fisher, and her son-in-law Greg Klein.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Jaquess and sisters-in-law, Kay Fisher and Marg Goodwin as well as four daughters; Deborah Klein, Paula E. Wyers and husband Paul, Patricia E Chaney and Bill Fogler, and Pamela E. Duncan and husband David. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren; Christie Eads and husband Brian, Cathy Bozerocki, Kimberly Gaulter and husband Sean, Nicole Collins and husband Daniel, Jeremy Brockett, Halie Seaton and husband Jeffrey, Clayton Zachary and wife Courtney, Creedance Zachary, Chance Zachary, Elijah Chaney, Tyler Chaney, Miranda Chaney, Danielle Fogler, Hayden Fogler, Hunter Fogler, Macy Sellers, Callie Sellers, and Tanner Sellers; as well as 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
While Geraldine has gone on, her love and memory will live forever in the hearts of those closest to her.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at the Butler Funeral Home Chapel in Humansville, MO with burial in the Tinker Cemetery under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Humansville, MO
