Gertrude Spracher (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Gertrude Grace Spracher of Grovespring, Missouri was born June 28, 1933 in Barry County, Missouri to Reason Dent and Mabel Stephens Dent. She passed away in Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri on Thursday, December 28, 2023. At the time of her passing she was ninety years and six months of age.
She spent the first seven years of her life in Missouri before moving with her family to Visalia, California. She completed her schooling there. Gertrude moved around a lot in her adult life. She was a free spirit and enjoyed painting. Her career, however, was teaching at Gainesville University and building semi-conductors. She had also started a lab and worked as a civilian for the United States Navy.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clyde.
Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Hope Brown and her husband, Steven of Grovespring, Missouri; her son, Marvin Neubauer and his wife Tanya of Volcano, California; one grandchild, Jesse Brown and his wife Norlyn; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Retha Scott and her husband Walter of Seligman, Missouri and Leola Jones and her husband Harry of San Diego, California.
In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her yard.
Gertrude loved her family very much and her dog Pinkey. Though she may no longer be physically present, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
