Dianna - so sorry to hear about your Mom. Wish we could have been there for you. Gladys and JB were very special people, we loved them both dearly. JB started us both out on our careers, we have lots of very fond memories. Your Mom was a very special elegant lady, I'll always cherish the memory of her helping us cook and prepare for our senior party at her house. What a fun day and evening that was. I have very fond memories of your mother. What I remember most was her strong faith and the Sundays she took us to church out in the country at the Primitive Baptist Church. And of course, we embarrassed her because we got tickled in the service. I told you recently how she made us clean your room, including mopping the floor on our hands and knees before we could leave to go have a good time. On my last meeting with her, she was at your home for a political dinner. She wanted to know all about my business, and of course, I was very pleased to tell her that it was successful. We would like to send our sympathies to the family. I have vivid memories as a boy picking gooseberries and morel mushrooms around her house and how she would always come out and check on me as if I was one of her own grandchildren. But I cannot think of any other person who was more faithful and devoted to God than her. She will always serve as a reminder to me of what a Christian should be and we should try to live our lives.
