Gladys Bingham (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Gladys A. Bingham, daughter of John and Esther Enyart Starnes, was born May 13, 1925, near Brownfield, Missouri.  She departed this life Thursday, July 10, 2014, in Christian Health and Rehabilitation Center South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-nine years, one month, and twenty-seven days.
On April 20, 1946, she was united in marriage to Jewell Adley Bingham, and they shared forty-five years before his passing on December 16, 1991.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Virgil, John, Tom, Olan, and Don Starnes; and a sister, Leona Williams.
Gladys is survived by two daughters, Vernona Reid, and her husband, Alva, and Vernetta Daniel, and her husband, Lonnie, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a step-daughter, Wanda Ogle, and her husband, Clyde, of Independence, Missouri; five grandchildren, Alviena Stake, Angela Sien, Lonita DeVasure, Brian Daniel, Lori Ailshie; nine great-grandchildren; a number of step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Brownfield community, and worked for the Rice Stix Factory for a few years.  After she and Adley were married, they made their home near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their family.  In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Gladys also did housekeeping for several families in the Lebanon area.
Gladys had made her profession of belief in Christ and followed the Baptist faith.  She loved to sing and had sung in various churches in the area including, Sunnyview, Crossroads, and Mission Church.  She was a very giving person who was always willing to help others.
In her spare time she enjoyed doing craft projects of all kinds, was an avid gardener, and liked growing beautiful flowers, and canning her homegrown produce.  Her family was very dear to her and she was very proud of all of her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gladys was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created during her eighty-nine years.
Memorial donations may be made to the New Home Cemetery, and left at the funeral home.
