Gladys Tannehill (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Gladys Irene Tannehill, daughter of George S. and Ada D Osborne Ray, was born, April 5,1925 in Linn Creek, Missouri. She departed this life, January 7, 2019, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of ninety-three years, nine months and two days.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Jack Shepherd and Tony Quinton Tannehill, and eleven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Shepherd and wife Marilyn of Kaiser, Missouri, and Lexie Quinton Tannehill and wife Tina of Kaiser, Missouri,; one brother Lee Ray and wife Polly of Richland, Missouri,; one sister, Alberta Meyers Layman of Lebanon, Missouri,; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Gladys was raised in Hugo, Missouri for the early part of her life and then lived in Kaiser for over sixty years.
Gladys made a profession of faith and was a member of New Hope Church in Kaiser, Missouri.
In her spare time she enjoyed the outdoors, working on her gardening and her yard, sewing and cooking. She loved playing cards with her sisters and spending time with her family.
She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma, and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
A memorial has been established and may be left at the funeral home.
