Glen Russell Fohn (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Glen Russell Fohn of Lebanon, Missouri was born February 17, 1936 in Camdenton, Missouri to Denzil Fohn and Maggie Waterman Fohn. He passed away Friday, May 8, 2026 in his home in Lebanon, Missouri at the age of ninety years, two months and twenty-one days.
Glen was raised in Lebanon and was a graduate of Lebanon High School where he excelled in basketball and baseball and was a four-year letterman in the sports. Following high school he attended Southwest Missouri State College in Springfield.
On August 12, 1960, Glen was united in marriage to Joeatta Jean Boyd. Glen affectionately called his bride “Joey”, and no one could make him grin bigger than his girl. Together, they modeled what it meant to work as a team, show up for one another in every season of life, and love each other unconditionally. They have shared over sixty-five wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter and cherished memories.
He began his career employed by United Telephone, Bennett Spring Hatchery and Hoffman/Taft. In 1962, he became self-employed as the proprietor of Fohn’s Dairy Snack. His next venture came with Fohn’s Furniture and Appliance, Fohn’s Lawn Care and Fohn’s Outdoor Power Equipment. He was a respected businessman and was active in the Lebanon community. He believed in always doing the right thing, honoring commitments, and treating everyone how he wanted to be treated.
On March 28, 1954, Glen was baptized and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon.
He was an original of the Lebanon Hall of Fame, a member of the Motorcycle Club and the Elks Lodge. Glen was a big Lebanon Yellow Jacket fan. He enjoyed cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, the St. Louis Cardinals, NASCAR, the NBA and Karting.
Glen was very fond of his lawnmower riding Beagle, “Sounder”. He enjoyed taking him on rides around the yard.
Glen is preceded in death by his parents, Maggie and Denzil (Red) Fohn; his son, Tommy Fohn; a brother, Dale Fohn; and his son-in-law, Donald Admire.
He is survived by his wife, Joetta Fohn, of the home; two daughters, Glenda Helton and her husband Darrell of Conway, Missouri and Leslie Wallace and her husband Don of Springfield, Missouri; his son, Jeff Fohn and his wife Carla of Lebanon, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Vester Admire and his wife Jenny of Arnold, Missouri, Nicholas Admire and his wife Kelly of Blue Springs, Missouri, Chelsea Wallace Marrocco and her husband Michael of Springfield, Missouri, Sean Wallace and his wife Emily of Florissant, Missouri, Lori Wallace of Springfield, Missouri, Arien Fohn and Savannah York of Lebanon, Missouri and Evan Fohn and Kylee Moore of Camdenton, Missouri; eight great-grandchildren, Harrison Admire, Audrey and Hattie Admire, Ellison, and Lily Marrocco, Autumn Wallace, Lincoln York and Wesley Fohn; and other relatives and friends.
Glen was many things to many people. Most importantly he was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed and his memories will stay in the hearts of those he loved.
Funeral service for Glen Russell Fohn will be Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until service time. Burial will be in Mount Rose Memorial Park.
A memorial to the Lebanon High School Athletic Program or the Lebanon Alumni Plaza has been established and memorials may be left at the funeral home.
