Glen Holcomb, Sr. (Seymour)'s Obituary
Glen passed away Saturday evening, November 17, 2018, at Maple Wood Alzheimer’s Specialty Care Center in Springfield at 76 years of age. One of six children, he was born December 6, 1941, in Rose, Oklahoma, to Charles and Vada (Dollarhide) Holcomb. He married Wanda Lea Ehlers on November 19, 1961, and they raised a family of three. Glen proudly served our country in the US Air Force, was a former Webster County Sheriff, and a retired corporal from the Seymour Police Department.
In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Wanda; his second wife, Velda Davis; and two brothers, Dean and Dale Holcomb.
Glen is survived by step-father Gilbert Caulk of Grove, Oklahoma; his children, Glen Jr. and wife Michele Holcomb of Seymour, Darlene Rudner of Springfield, and Sandy Holcomb Schroeder of Seymour; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Everett and Rea Holcomb of Tennessee, Charles Holcomb of Southwest City, Missouri, and a sister, Martha Holcomb of the state of California.
