Glenn Blackwell (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Glenn Farris Blackwell, 81 of Bolivar, passed away at 3:10 AM Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar after a brief illness.
Glenn was born on May 31, 1932 in Bolivar, MO the son of Grover Pumroy Blackwell and Nannie Florence (Farris) Blackwell.
He was a graduated of Bolivar High School and a member of the Southern Hills Baptist Church in Bolivar. He was a retired employee of the Missouri Department Of Transportation.
On December 13, 1958 Glenn was united in marriage to Barbara Ann Wakefield in Springfield, MO and to this union two children were born; Glenda Ann Blackwell and Richard Michael Blackwell.
Glenn loved farming, going to auctions and country music shows.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Blackwell; his parents; Roy and Florence Blackwell and one sister, Vesta Pearl Dunkel.
He leaves to mourn one daughter Glenda McGinnis and husband Michael of Macks Creek, MO; one son Mike Blackwell of the home, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He will be missed.
