Glenn L. Kellner (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Glenn Latham Kellner, son of Henry Oliver and Nella Frisch Kellner, was born February 28, 1936, in California, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, January 28, 2021, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-four years, and eleven months.
On November 16, 1957, he was united in marriage to Ester Sharlene Smith, and to this union four daughters and two sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leo Kellner and an infant, Carl Kellner; and a sister, Grace Kellner.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Sharlene, of the home; four daughters, Glenda Kellner, Sherrie Webb, Connie Brackett, and her husband, Kent, and Leslie Lewis, and her husband, Kevin Dale, all of Lebanon, Missouri; two sons, Kenneth Kellner, and Kevin Kellner, both of Lebanon, Missouri; ten grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charley Kellner and Benny Kellner, both of Warsaw, Missouri; two sisters, Ruby Kriesel, of the State of Florida, and June Kuester, of California, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Warsaw, Missouri area and attended Warsaw High School. He was employed as a mechanic for the General Motors Company in Sweet Springs, Missouri for several years and also owned and operated a turkey farm for a few years. In 1970, he moved to the Lebanon, Missouri area and began working for Tracker Marine, where he remained for thirty years. After he and Sharlene were married, they made their home in Warsaw, until moving to Lebanon in 1970, and lovingly raised their children.
Glenn made his profession of faith in Christ and was baptized in Bennett Spring in 1994, as a member of Union Mission Church.
He had a fondness for old and vintage cars and enjoyed working on them. He liked traveling and going on vacations and planting flower gardens in the Spring. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed having time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Glenn was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his eighty-four years.
A memorial to Integrity Hospice has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
