Glenna McDaniel's Obituary
Glenna Raye McDaniel, daughter of Gilbert and Eula Kissinger Brown, was born September 7, 1937, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She departed this life Saturday, April 15, 2006, in Lake Regional Health System, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of sixty-eight years, seven months, and eight days. On April 18, 1959, she was united in marriage to Charles L. McDaniel, and to this union three daughters and two sons were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Carmel Scantlin, Deloris Thomas, and Helen Maxine Brown. Glenna is survived by her husband, Charles, of Stoutland, Missouri; two sons, Johnny McDaniel, and his wife, Marsha, and Bruce McDaniel, and his fiancée, Crystal Frazer, all of Stoutland, Missouri; three daughters, Sandra Brown, and her husband, Ricky, of Richland, Missouri, Bonnie Keeth, and her husband, Larry, Jr., of Springfield, Missouri, and Charlas Patton, and her husband, Tim, of Stoutland, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five sisters, Bonnie Williams, of Lebanon, Missouri, Marybelle Burke, of Stoutland, Missouri, Jimmie Capps, of Strafford, Missouri, Carolyn Fletcher, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Sharon Mangan, of Springfield, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born in Oklahoma and was raised in the Stoutland and Richland, Missouri area, where she graduated from Stoutland High School in the Class of 1955. After she and Charles were married, they made their home in the Stoutland community and lovingly raised their children. In addition to being a devoted and hardworking homemaker, Glenna worked as the administrative secretary to the Superintendent of the Richland Schools for the last eighteen years. Glenna made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a member of High Point Baptist Church. She centered her life around her family and taking special care of her husband since his illness began. In her spare time she loved music of all kinds, quilting, and spending money on her grandchildren. Glenna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a wonderful, caring friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006, in the High Point Baptist Church. Burial will be in the High Point Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. A memorial has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
