Glennis Eugene "Dan" Boggs (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Glennis Eugene “Dan” Boggs was born December 17, 1942 in California to Lennis and Pearle Minear Boggs. He departed this life Monday, March 31, 2025 in Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was eighty-two years, three months and fourteen days of age.
When Dan was young, he moved with his family to Buffalo, Missouri and he graduated from Buffalo High School. Following graduation he moved to Kansas City to work for a fiberglass company. He then returned to Lebanon and was employed with Detroit Tool for forty-five years.
In November of 2001, he was united in marriage to Maria “Louise” Boggs.
Dan is survived by his wife, Louise Hilton of the home; his children, Sandy Maestas, Traci LaFata, Vincent Boggs, Aaron Boggs, Melissa Hilton, Melanie Fraker, Mandie Nelson, Ashley Hilton-Robinson and Justin Hilton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; and other relatives and friends.
Dan loved going to ‘Taco Tuesday’ with Hoskins, Bud, Donny, Bruce, Steve and many others. He enjoyed restoring old cars and motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was good at working on automobiles as well as motorcycles and loved sharing his knowledge with others.
Dan earned a lot of nicknames in his lifetime. Many called him Butch, while others referred to him as Dago Dan.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a good neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know his family and friends will treasure the memories they made with him.
