Gloria Branstetter (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Gloria June Austill Newton Branstetter, 86, born June 30, 1927, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 4, 2014, at a nursing home in Benton, IL.
Gloria owned and operated Ya’ll Come In Café and Mimosa Restaurant in Mansfield, MO. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Gloria was known for her cinnamon rolls, pies, and sausage gravy and biscuits. She was also known as “Mom” to all her children’s friends.
Preceding her in death were her husbands, Jason J. Newton and Troy O. Branstetter, two sons, Jason Daniel Newton and Larry Gene Newton and daughter, Wanda Gayle Wedekind.
She is survived by two sons, Mitchell Jay L. (Diane) Newton, Port St. Lucie, FL and Scott Gregory (Nanette) Newton, Sparta, MO; one son-in-law, Wes Wedekind, West Frankfort, IL; one daughter-in-law, Wilma Newton Lancaster, Mansfield, MO; one sister, Beulah Martin, Prosper, TX; two granddaughters, Amy L. Newton DuBois, Palm City, FL and A. Brooke Newton Dennis, Mansfield, MO; and one grandson, Joshua A. Wedekind, West Frankfort, IL. Also surviving are two great-granddaughters, Savanna J. DuBois, Palm City, FL and Blaine A. Dennis, Mansfield, MO, and one great-grandson, Hunter DuBois, Palm City, FL, step-granddaughter, Sandy Bulbulian and step-grandson Nazareth Bulbulian and two step-great-grandsons, Brandon Dennis and Darian Bulbulian.
Joint memorial services will be held for Gloria and her daughter, Wanda G. Wedekind, 53, born April 30, 1960, and went to be with the Lord April 12, 2014 at a Benton IL hospital. Wanda is remembered for her smile, laughter, and cinnamon bun bites. She was a friend to everyone, loved children, and was of the Baptist Faith.
