Gloria Dean Myers (Seymour)'s Obituary
Gloria Dean Myers, daughter of Ralph J. and Eulah Mefford Ferrell, was born Friday, May 3, 1935, in Almartha, (Ozark County) Missouri, and departed this life on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty-three years, ten months, and twenty-five days.
She was united in marriage to Cleo Everett Myers on June 7,1952, and to this union four children were born. In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Cleo, on September 4, 1995; son, Jim Myers; son-in-law, Jack Ince; and daughter-in-law, Teresa Myers and parents-in-law, Roby and Bessie Myers.
Gloria is survived by daughter, Sandy Ince; two sons, Danny Myers, and Randy and Kelli Myers; and daughter-in-law, Teri Myers; ten grandchildren, Deania Thomas, J.W. Ince, Keesha and Jose Rivera, Doug and Robyn Myers, Dakota and Maria Myers, Bridgett and Darin Cantrell, Bailey and Eric Owens, Travis Baker, Ryan and Heather Myers, and Heather and Richard Martin; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bernal and Carol Ferrell, Jack and Sharon Ferrell, George “G.R.” and Diane Ferrell; sister, Hope and Rick Cantrell; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many more friends.
She was born in Almartha and moved with her parents to Seymour in 1945, where she lived the rest of her years.
Gloria attended the Seymour Nazarene Church until her health failed. In her spare time, she volunteered at the Seymour Senior Center and participated in activities there. She also enjoyed square dancing, quilting, sewing. She and Cleo regularly enjoyed playing Canasta, Pitch and Spades with friends on Friday nights.
Gloria was a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother, a loyal sister, aunt, and a very caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will always cherish the many special times we had together.
