Glynn Ansbro's Obituary
Glynn Jefferson Ansbro, age 81, of Stockton, Missouri passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at the Stockton Nursing Home in Stockton, Missouri. He was born April 7, 1928 in Salinas, California to John Ansbro and Gertrude Jefferson Ansbro. Glynn served his country in the United States Navy enlisting in 1945 and then went into the United States Marine Corp. After leaving the military, he became a Fireman for the Palo Alto, California Fire Department. He then went to college and received a degree in electronics and was a repair technician in this field until retirement in 1992. Glynn and Lura raised their gransdson, Joshua Bailey after retirement and he is currently serving in the Missouri National Guard. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. He was loved by all the nursing home staff at Stockton Nursing Home and made many great friends there. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lura Mae Ansbro in 2009, and a grandson, Brett Ansbro. Glynn is survived by his three daughters, Patricia Thomas and her husband Rodney of Stockton, Missouri, Sherry Corona of Stockton, Missouri, Kathy Mitzel of St. Cloud, Minnesota, two sons, John Ansbro and his wife Marsha of Grand Junction, Colorado, Patrick Ansbro and his wife Debbie of Florida, two step-sons, Richard White of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, Donald White and his wife Marion of Washington, 24 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Musical selections will be “Go Rest High On That Mountain” by Vince Gill, “Nearer My God To Thee” by Merrill Womach and “When I Get Where I’m Going” by Brad Paisley & Dolly Parton. Military Honors will take place following the services at the funeral home provided by the AMVETS Post #114 of Flemington, Missouri.
