Grace Anna Bean (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Grace Anna Bean, age 89, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away as a result of a massive stroke on January 11, 2017, at the Cox Health South Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri.
Grace Anna was the daughter of Flay and Maudie Rowan, and was born on September 12, 1927, in the family farm home, in Aldrich, Missouri. She was united in marriage to E. Marshall Bean, of Aldrich, Missouri, on June 2, 1947. He preceded her in death on May 16, 2000. Their daughter, Deborha L. Bean Parsons, preceded them both in death, on August 2, 1969. Also preceding Grace Anna is a brother, Eldon Rowan.
Grace Anna is survived by her son, R.C. Bean, and wife Deborah, of Olathe, Kansas; “adopted daughters,” Debby (Staas) Militscher, and Marilyn (Hendrickson) Bamber; granddaughter Stephanie Bean Taylor, and husband Dominick, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; great-granddaughter Ryan Zoey Taylor, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; grandson Brady Irey, and wife Jennifer, of Independence, Missouri; great-grandchildren Harper, and Graeme Irey, of Independence, Missouri; and many other family and friends.
Grace Anna will be remembered for her kind heart, generosity and compassion towards all others. Her passions were family, cooking, gardening, dancing, sewing, and bingo.
She attended the Bolivar United Methodist Church for many years. Grace Anna’s kind words, warmth, and constant smile will be greatly missed by all, but never forgotten.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service, from 8:30 -9:30 am, on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the Butler Funeral Home, in Bolivar.
Funeral Services will be at 9:30 am, on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the Butler Funeral Home, in Bolivar, with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, 411 S. Dunnegan Ave., Bolivar, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the CMH Hospice O.P.E. Program of Bolivar, or to the Bolivar United Methodist Church.
