On June 2, 1946, Gracie was united in marriage to Ernest "Ernie" Keeling, and together they shared thirty-five years until Ernie's passing on May 24, 1982.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and four sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Rose Adamson, of Seymour, Missouri, Kathern Cantrell and husband Donnie, of Mansfield, Missouri and Anna Brooke and husband Craig Adamson, of Strafford, Missouri; two sons, Kenneth Keeling and wife Carolyn of Neosho, Missouri, and Clifford Keeling, of Seymour, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Carney, of Waterloo, Iowa; two special nieces, Beverly Sue Fagan and husband Bill, of Taft, California, and Nancy Black and husband Larry, of Marshfield, Missouri; as well as a number of other nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Gracie was born in Leavenworth and moved with her family to Competition, Missouri at an early age. Following her marriage to Ernie, Gracie and her family moved to Mansfield to make their home.
Gracie had accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was a member of the Mansfield First Baptist Church where she served as the Nursery Director for many years.
In her spare time, Gracie enjoyed taking walks, working in her flower garden, embroidering and crocheting, working crossword puzzles, and playing Scrabble. She was very competitive when playing board games and never missed a chance to let you know that she had scored more points than you or that she had completed her puzzle first.
Gracie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
