Greg Scott Greven (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mr. Gregory Scott Greven, age 42, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Thursday evening, February 10, 2011 in Springfield after a tragic fire.
He was born September 13, 1968 in Springfield, Missouri to Richard Henry Greven and Susan Lee (Shadwick) Greven.
Greg graduated from Bolivar High School in May of 1986, Southwest Baptist University in 1996 and attended Southwest Missouri State University and Rockhurst University.
Greg was probably best described as an advocate and leader for the community. Among other things Greg was involved in the Governor's Council on Disability, Chair/President of Polk County Community Connections, Commissioner for Mayors Commission on Human Rights on Public Relations for Springfield, Mo., Mayors Commission on Global Perspective Springfield MO, Chair for the Universal Design, Run, Housing Collaborative, Continuum of Care, Hard to Employee, Partner in Inspired Advertising, Executive Director of Choices, Mayors Transit Coalition for City of Bolivar, Board member for the Bolivar Workshop. He loved spending time with his best friend, his family and his dog Avery. Greg loved people and to be involved with anything that improved the community.
Greg is survived by his best friend Theresa Cooper of Springfield, Missouri, his parents Richard and Susan Greven of Bolivar, Missouri, one brother, Kevin Greven of Bolivar, Missouri and one nephew, Daulton Greven of Bolivar, Missouri as well as his aunt, uncle and two cousins.
