It was my pleasure to be able work with Greg when he served as a chaplain at Mercy Hospital Lebanon. I grew to love our visits talking about God and family. He had such an amazing sense of humor and many times I would come in to my desk with it being arranged differently or a new snake in my drawer. (He loved to joke about me being Pentecostal and that if so, I must be a snake handler). Greg is truly now in the presence of the God who loved him most, best and always. He will be missed for sure, my prayers are for the friends, family and church he left behind.

I was privileged to know Greg as a friend and respected colleague during his time in Springfield. Greg lived his life with kindness and compassion and always with an exceptional level of personal candor! He challenged people to think bigger and wider than they previously had. I regret that I fell out of touch with him when he moved to Lebanon--Greg always made me think deeply, and made me laugh out loud. May the God of peace be with the rest of the Turner family as you adjust to life without Greg's nourishing presence. I also regret that I will miss his memorial service due to a family Christmas gathering. I know it will be a celebration of a life well-lived.
