She was born and raised in the Lebanon area and then moved with her family to Nebraska when she was sixteen years old. While in Nebraska she was married and she lovingly raised her family. During that time she worked as a waitress and hostess at various restaurants. She then made her home in Wyoming where she had worked at K-Mart and then later she moved to Montana for the next several years where she worked at Target. In 2004, she returned to Lebanon and helped care for her mother during her last years.
She enjoyed going to casinos, listening to western music and liked being outdoors where she particularly enjoyed watching birds and deer hunting. She also loved to sew and crochet. Emily was a very talented poet and she had even been published. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
