Harmon Williams' Obituary
Harmon “Bud” Williams, son of Fred Alvin and Leota Frances (Collins) Williams, was born March 3, 1928 in Carter County, Missouri. He departed this life Monday, September 14, 2009 in Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years, six months, and eleven days. He was preceded in death by his parents; and nine siblings.
Bud is survived by his sister, Lorine Williams, of Lamar, Missouri; his nephews, Lawrence Rippee, Wayne Rippee, and his wife, Charlotte, Norman Rippee, Kenny Rippee, and his wife, Susan, all of Seymour, Missouri, Marvin Rippee, and his wife, Pat, of Hartville, Missouri, and Barney Williams, of Lamar, Missouri; two nieces, Betty Pittman, and her husband, Garrett, of Seymour, Missouri, and Danita Williams Barnes, of Lamar, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
He attended Ava Elementary School and later moved to Seymour, where he lived with his sister and her husband, Jim and Josephine Rippee and their children. He worked several years in Douglas County at local saw mills.
In his spare time he enjoyed playing his guitar and listening to music, he also loved being outdoors, hunting, and fishing and was fascinated by airplanes.
Bud was a very loving and kind person who loved his family very much and they loved him dearly. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he created for his family and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30, Friday, September 19, 2009 in Goss Cemetery, with Reverend Corey Yates officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening in the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour.
