Harold Caviness (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Harold Caviness, son of Jack and Sybil Jones Caviness, was born September 17, 1928, near Camdenton, Missouri.  He departed this life Saturday, July 8, 2017, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-eight years, nine months, and twenty-one days.
On October 17, 1954, he was united in marriage to Beatrice Webb and they shared fifty-two years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Beatrice, on April 11, 2006.
Harold is survived by a son, Don Hindes, and his wife, Denise, of Eldridge, Missouri; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred L. Caviness, of Neosho, Missouri; a sister, Pauline Lewis, of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Camdenton, Missouri area.  He entered the military as a young man and served his country faithfully in the United States Marine Corps.  He then worked in construction all over the United States for most of his life.  After retiring he and Beatrice made their home in Camdenton, Missouri before moving to Lebanon for the last thirty years.
He had a great affection for dogs and cats and a soft spot in his heart for all animals.  He also enjoyed reading.  He was very steadfast and firm in his convictions.  He loved his family dearly and was very close to his wife and son.
Harold was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend.  We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
