Harold Frazee's Obituary
Harold Eugene Frazee, age 79, passed away peacefully at his son Darrel’s home with all his family around him on July 25, 2008. He was born April 6, 1929 in Gorin, MO, son of Fred and Ila Shacklett Frazee. He graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1947. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri. He later completed a Master’s Degree from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. He was a Korean War Era Veteran, drafted into the army in 1951 and was stationed in San Francisco, California and Washington D.C., serving in the CIC, The Central Intelligence Corps, a forerunner to the CIA. After being in the military, he was a high school science teacher in Trenton, Missouri. He was a high school counselor in Maryville, Missouri and was later a vocational counselor serving several counties surrounding Chariton, Iowa. He had his pilot’s license and was proud to have served with a volunteer program which flew sick children to a burn-unit in Texas. Additionally, he served a short stint in law enforcement in Lucas County, IA. He was a Christian and a Believer in Jesus Christ, although he did not attend church regularly. He was proud to have been a life-long Democrat. Throughout his life, he enjoyed many hobbies including raising horses, crafting leatherwork, flying airplanes, riding his motorcycle, spinning yarns, playing banjo, making music and socializing with his friends. He is survived by three children: his son David and wife Cherrie Frazee of West Fork, Arkansas; his son Darrel Frazee and wife Janette of Nixa, Missouri; his daughter Diane Ide and her husband Todd of Kansas City, Missouri; and eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his adopted daughter and special friend, Alicia Hagen, and too many dear friends to mention. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter-in-law, Tina Frazee. He will be missed but not forgotten. Services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday July 29, 2008 at the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening 6-7:00 pm under the direction of the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Seymour, Missouri. Return to top
