Harold Eugene Morgans (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Harold Eugene Morgans, son of the late Lee and Ona (Austin) Morgans, was born on November 11, 1934 in Elkland, MO and departed this life on November 28, 2025 in Springfield, MO. At the time of his passing he was 91 years and 16 days of age. Harold was raised near Elkland, MO and graduated from Elkland High School in 1952. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He returned to Missouri in 1957 and was united in marriage to Billie Dean Young on October 12, 1957. Harold worked for Master and Jackson for a short time before joining his father in operating a trucking and quarry business. Harold incorporated this business into Morgans Materials, Inc. and operated the business until retiring in the 1980’s. He also served as the president of the Missouri Limestone Producers Association, was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Limestone Institute and was an active member of the Dallas County R-1 School Board, Industrial Development Committee and the Chamber of Commerce of Buffalo. After his retirement, he was elected as the Dallas County Presiding Commissioner. Harold enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and spending time with his family. Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Dean; his parents; and his siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Pam and her children, Linzi & husband Gene and their children, Nevaeh, Paisley, and Baylee, and Cheyanne & husband Dusty and their children, Darcie and Emma, his daughter, Sandra and her children Lacey & husband Greg and their children, Quinton, Ian and Elliott, and Cole; his son, Ronald & wife Pam and their children, Ashton, Tiffany, and Lainey; and his son, Danny & wife Barbara and their children, Delanie, Taylor and Brixton; his brother, Don Morgans; and two sisters, Lola Mae and Nora. He also leaves other family members and many friends who will all truly miss him. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home. Escorts will be Eric Otterness, Owen Kjar, Mike Jones, Kevin Sharpe, Jim Short, Al Christian, Kent Barnhart, Mike Payne, Wayne Rieschel, Brennon Abraham, Mike Taylor, and Alan Daniels. Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
