Harry E. 'Ed' Tillman (Seymour)'s Obituary
Harry Edwin Tillman, 74, passed away January 18, 2021, at Cox South Medical Center from complications brought on by Covid.
Ed was born August 4, 1946, in Rogersville, Missouri, to Harry M. and Veda Mae (Farr) Tillman and grew up in Rogersville graduating from Rogersville High School in 1964. He was skilled as a journeyman electrician and worked in engineering for Cox Health and later as Assistant Director of Engineering until his retirement.
He married Barbara Lee Street on March 13, 1966 and to this union two daughters were born. They made their home in rural Fordland, Missouri.
Ed is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 55 years, Barbara, of the home; their daughters, Melanie Warren and husband Steve of Gardner, Kansas, and Kim Batson and husband Mike of Rogersville, Missouri; two grandsons, Derek Hennigh and Nick Cobb, and granddaughter Shannon Adams. Ed is also survived by his brother Kenny Tillman and wife Dale, sisters, Betty Sacco and husband Tom, Judy Hollingsworth and husband Kent, and sister-in-law Donna Tillman; many nieces and nephews, and scores of friends he held dear throughout the years. He made and brought wonderful memories and friendship to everyone he met. Ed was one of a kind and will be missed tremendously.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Jim, and several aunts and uncles.
Due to Covid concerns, there is no formal visitation. Friends may pay their respects and sign his register book at their convenience beginning Thursday at noon. A graveside service will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Hwy A and Pleasant Hill Road in Webster County, at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 22, 2021. The family kindly requests masks be worn at all times.
