Harry Vermillion's Obituary
Harry Lee Vermillion, son of Harold Eugene and Lula Mable Pierce Vermillion, was born October 5, 1940 in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, September 30, 2011, in his home, Camdenton, Missouri, at the age of seventy years, eleven months and twenty-five days. On September 17, 1966 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he was united in marriage to Donna Faye Harsen and to this union two children were born. They just celebrated forty-five years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Donna Vermillion of the home; a son, Matthew Ray Vermillion and wife Martha of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a daughter, Christie Niccole Webb and husband Richard Carl of Camdenton, Missouri; a grandson, Harold Lee Vermillion of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a granddaughter, Tanna Renee Webb of Ft. Worth, Texas; a brother, Robert Eugene ?Bob? Vermillion and wife Dorothy Lavon of Grove Springs, Missouri; and other relatives and many friends. Harry was raised in Springfield, Missouri and moved to Detroit, Michigan where he finished high school. After graduation from high school, he entered the U.S. Army and served his country proudly. After he was honorably discharged, he moved to Dallas, Texas, where he worked in camera repair. He later moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he studied at Tulsa Spartan School of Aeronautics. He then worked as an instrument repairman for American Airlines. He retired after nearly thirty years of service. He and his wife retired to the Lake of the Ozarks twelve years ago. Harry made a profession of faith and adhered to a non-denominational Christian belief. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Masonic Lodge, Wagner County Sheriff Deputies, Tulsa County Fair Board and the Tulsa Security Deputies Squad. In his spare time he enjoyed studying the Bible, guns and archery. He had a private pilot?s license and flew when he got a chance. He loved bowling and had received numerous awards. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends.
