Harry K. Wynns (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Harry Kirk Wynns, 72, was born on January 21, 1949 in Anchorage, Alaska to the late Lt. Col. Kelsey O. and Helen (Hopperstead) Wynns and passed on July 2, 2021 in Buffalo, Missouri.
He graduated from McCallum High School in Austin, Texas and furthered his education graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas with a degree in Forestry and Biology. During his summers while attending college, he fought forest fires in Redwoods, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. He started his own pest control service company in Garland, Texas until retirement and moved to Exeter, Missouri. He worked for FEMA for six years and was an Arborist involved in his hometown association planting trees in Exeter. He was with Tree City USA for 25 years. He was a volunteer fireman for 24 years in Exeter, Missouri as a safety officer as well.
Kirk was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. His wife, Janis Diane Siepert Wynns preceded him.
His survived by his son, Jason and wife, Janet of Garland, Texas and granddaughter, Kori Wynns; daughter, Jennifer Wynns Taylor and husband, Josh; grandsons, Chandler Brattin , Bryce Brattin, Blake Brattin of Exeter, Missouri, Jace Taylor, Jayden Taylor, and Jesse Taylor of Buffalo, Missouri; sister, Karan Wynns and Bill Scroggins of Spicewood, Texas; sister, Kay Wynns Hanley and husband, David Hanley of Lindale, Texas; sister, Karol Wynns Crow of Austin, Texas and brother-in-law, Garon Crow of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by his uncle, Jim Carr of Grand Rapids, Michigan and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Exeter Volunteer Fire Department in Kirk’s name would be appreciated.
