Harvey Morrow (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Harvey Richard Morrow, son of the late Frank and Mary (Howard) Morrow, was born on March 10, 1924 in Dallas County, MO, and departed this life on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, MO. At the time of his passing he was 94 years, five months, and 16 days of age.
Harvey was raised and attended school near Urbana, MO. After his schooling, he moved to Malta Bend, MO to work on a farm at the age of 14. He was drafted into the United States Airforce, where he proudly served his country during World War II. He later married Norma Hinton Gibson on September 27, 1952. They made their home in Marshall, MO where he worked for the International Shoe Company and Wilson’s Meat Packing before he retired. He was a hard-working and frugal man, going home many nights after a full day on the job to work on cars for extra money. After his retirement, he and Norma moved to Pittsburg, MO. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working outside. He loved to race cars and drove in many races at the tracks in Sedalia, Moberly, Marshall, and Jefferson City.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alva Morrow; and one sister, Lavina Morrow. He is survived by his wife Norma of the home; son, Danny & wife Clara Gibson and their children Sherry & husband Mark Eye, Carol & husband AJ Smentkowski, and Dana Gibson; son, Harvey Eugene & wife Byong Suk Morrow and their children Bonnie Lee & husband Jason Kostiuk and Jeanne Ann & husband Forrest Kocher; son, Harold Dean & wife Charlotte Ann Morrow and their children, Heather N. Morrow and Marshal R. & wife Sarah Morrow; son, Barry & wife Lolly Morrow and their children, Clint Morrow & fiancé Amanda Lindsay and Julie & husband Greg Siegler; several great-grandchildren, other family members, and many friends who will all truly miss him.
