Heidi MacQueen (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Heidi MacQueen, daughter of Gunter and Hedweg Paulina Kemper Gomann, was born October 26, 1964, in Hattingen, Germany. She departed this life Monday, July 8, 2013, in her home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of forty-eight years, eight months, and twelve days.
On March 27, 1993, she was united in marriage to Craig Whitman MacQueen, and they shared the last twenty years.
Her mother preceded her in death.
Heidi is survived by her husband, Craig, of the home; two sons, Brian MacQueen, and his wife, Bridgett, of Riverside, California, and Michael MacQueen, and his wife, Marcy, of the State of Ohio; three grandchildren; her father, Gunter Gomann, of Hattingen, Germany; two brothers, Jurgen Gomann, and his wife, Karen, of Hattingen, Germany, and Klaus Gomann, and his wife, Astrid, of Bochen, Germany; her godchild and niece, Marn; and a nephew, Marc; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Germany, and attended school in Germany and England. She attended medical school for three years, and then worked for Holiday International in England. She was employed as an executive secretary for Boeing Aircraft in Dusseldorf, Germany for several years. She had also worked for the Japanese Consulate at one time. After she and Craig were married, they made their home in California before coming to Lebanon, Missouri, and purchasing the Meadowview Ranch, Guest House, and Horse Motel in 2000. Heidi was a devoted homemaker and managed Meadowview for the last several years.
Heidi was a Christian with a deep faith in God.
She spoke four languages, including German, French, Japanese, and English. She had a great love and affection for animals and had a special way of handling and charming them. Her family was very important to her.
Heidi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
