Hele 's Obituary
Helen Lucille VanZandt, age 78, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away at 12:03am on Friday, November 21, 2008 at Citizen's Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri. She was born September 22, 1930 in Polk County, Missouri to Harvey G. Orrell and Mary I. Webster Orrell. She married Ben VanZandt on September 3, 1950. She was a wonderful homemaker. Helen is survived by her son; Joe VanZandt and his wife Dorthea of Colorado and a daughter; Terry Herbert of Bolivar, Missouri, five grandchildren; Jody, Jennifer, Kim, Todd and Randy, four great grandchildren; Dakota, Tiffany, Todd, Michael and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, six brothers; Homer, Veron, Floyd, Gale, Glenn and Lee, three sisters; Opal Wheeler, Lola Mantz and Pearl Krtek and a great granddaughter; Kaitlyn Herbert. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Reverend Harold Hendrickson officiating. Musical selections will be Where The Soul Of Man Never Dies, In The Garden and Old Rugged Cross. Pallbearers will be Virgil Black, James Ross, Brian Harris, Russell Orrell, Kenneth Bub Orrell and Gordon Gunnells. Honorary Pallbearers will be Timmy Childers and Richard Montoya. Burial will follow at Reed Cemetery south of Halfway, Missouri. Visitation will be from 5-6:30pm, Monday, November 24, 2008 at the funeral chapel.
