Helen Hawk (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Helen May Hawk, daughter of Elbert and Nellie J. Duffey Hawk, was born May 30, 1925, near Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, December 20, 2016, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-one years, six months, and twenty days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Raymond and Bob Hawk.
Helen is survived by a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1943. She continued to make her home in Lebanon throughout the years. Helen worked for the Missouri Social Services Department in Lebanon for forty-two and one half years before retiring. She was dedicated to her work and was a hard worker.
Helen had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon.
She was a very intelligent person who liked keeping up with current events. She enjoyed her privacy and liked having quiet time alone. She possessed lots of grit and was a strong Republican. She enjoyed watching and caring for the birds, and loved little dogs.
Helen was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
