Helen Hendershot (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Helen Hendershot, 92, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Citizens Memorial Hospital. She was born November 28, 1924, near Fair Play, Missouri, to Ira B. Miller and Nova McBride Miller.
Helen married Harry Hendershot and they made their home in Independence, Missouri, later moving to El Dorado Springs. After Harry’s death, Helen move to Bolivar, Missouri.
She enjoyed tending to her garden and flowers. She was very knowledgeable about trees and plants, and also old-time remedies. Helen also greatly enjoyed knitting, and always looked forward to getting together with friends and family to play dominos. She was a lover of animals, and deeply cared for pets.
Helen had a very strong faith, and went to church whenever she was able, and even when she was unable, would still watch the services on television, or listen on the radio.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harry Hendershot; siblings, Cecil Miller, Chester Miller, Josephine BeBout, Marie Bremier, and Mae Davis.
Survivors include: a sister, Alice Brobisky of Bates City, Missouri; a Brother, Roger Miller of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; and many Dear Friends.
