Helen Hogsett (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Helen Louise Hogsett, age 83, of Weaubleau, Missouri passed away Tuesday morning, March 8, 2011 at Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.
She was born October 13, 1927 in Weaubleau, Missouri to A. Elva Durnell and Vivian (Siaser) Durnell.
Helen graduated from Holyoke High School in Holyoke, Colorado in 1946. On May 19, 1946 she married Marvin Lavern Hogsett.
She was a homemaker and a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was formerly active in the Square Dance Club in Weaubleau, Missouri.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; Elva and Vivian, her husband; Marvin in June of 2002, her daughter; Debbie Storrie in August of 2009, and one brother Daryle Durnell.
Helen is survived by her two sons; Keith Hogsett and his wife Janie of Ft. Scott, Kansas, Eugene Hogsett and his wife Delsie of Weaubleau, Missouri, one brother; Dennis Durnell and his wife Trisha of Osceola, Missouri, seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Reverend Randy Pearson officiating. Musical selections will be “In The Garden”, “The Old Rugged Cross”, and “My Way”. A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm prior to service time at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon. Burial will follow at Durnell Chapel Cemetery near Weaubleau, Missouri under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Jason Bridgeford, Troy Hogsett, Todd Hogsett, Flint Nickel, Russell Johnson and Danny Snow.
