Helen Milligan (Seymour)'s Obituary
Helen Lucille Milligan, daughter of Harley and Erma (Burr) Prewitt, was born February 20, 1934 in Fordland, Missouri. On Thursday morning, November 15, 2018, she departed this life at the age of eighty-four years, eight months and twenty-six days.
Helen lived in California where she met Bert Ivory Milligan and they married on June 17, 1951 in Las Vegas, Nevada. To this union a son and daughter were born. The young family returned to Seymour in 1962. She worked at H.D. Lee, Skyline Café, Speedy’s Café and Sunshine Pizza in Seymour for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bert on July 17, 2012, her son Carl Eugene Milligan on October 30, 2012, two sisters Mary Jane Cross and Lula Mae Peeples and a brother Leonard Prewitt
Surviving Helen is her daughter and son-in-law Connie & Chester Carriger of Hartville, MO; 7 grandchildren Twayna & Keith Graham, Jerry Burnett & Annie Goossen, Janolyn & Jerry Mullen, Melissa Cordell and Randy; Steven Cordell & Melissa, Jake Milligan and Tanya Milligan; 17 great grandchildren MiKaela Bristol, KiLeigh Bristol, Darien Burnett and Kayleigh, Dakota Burnett, Denton Burnett, Kaylee & husband Brandon Sturgis, Camie Berry, Monique & husband Tyler Pond, Gaige Moss, Gannan Moss, Chloie Mullen, Halen Mullen, Jailenn Tyler, Calven Starkey, Jenasys Starkey, Sierra Cordell and Haleigh Cordell; 6 great great grandchildren Remedy Stugis, Rogue Stugis, Noah Berry, Paisley Berry, Camden Pond and Ella Pond as well as a brother Danny Prewitt of California.
Helen was of the Baptist faith and she enjoyed her kids and their families. She loved flowers and spending time crocheting. Listening to Bert play music was a highlight of their marriage.
Helen Lucille Milligan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and sister. We celebrate her life and will forever cherish the memories she created for her family and all those who knew her.
