Helen (Barlow) Moody (Seymour)'s Obituary
Helen Marie Moody, age 83 passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 in her daughters’ home in Seymour. Helen was born April 20, 1935 in Grants Pass, Oregon to Frank and Mary N. (Smith) Barlow, one of their seven children. She was raised in Mansfield and attended Mansfield schools. On August 29, 1951 she was united in marriage to Carl Eugene Moody and to this union five children were born.
Helen had worked at the H.D. Lee Company as a seamstress for several years and had attended Cedar Gap Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, sewing, family gatherings and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, an infant son, her husband Carl E. Moody in January of 1986, three brothers John Barlow, Wayne Barlow and Harry Barlow and two sisters Dorothy Wood and Reba Mummert.
Surviving Helen are her three daughters Carolyn Henderson and husband Gary of Seymour, MO, Marilyn Rueff and husband Allen of Seymour, MO, Sherilyn Dunfee and husband Larry of Claremore, OK; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; one sister Mary Belle Edwards of Mansfield, MO; one sister-in-law Beverly Barlow of Seymour, MO; one brother-in-law Dwayne Moody of Seymour as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
