Helen Louise Morris (Seymour)'s Obituary
Helen Morris, life-long Seymour resident, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020, at the wise age of 93, in Ozark Nursing and Care Center in Ozark, Missouri. One of four children, she was born Helen Louise Matney on January 24, 1927, to James Calvin ‘Woodrow’ and Leda Faye (Hargis) Matney.
She married Louis Archie Frazier in 1945, and to this union two children, Leland and Linda, were born. The Fraziers shared 26 loving years together until his passing in 1971. Helen worked for a time at H.D. Lee in Seymour, and would earn extra money babysitting and cleaning homes. In 1975, she married June Morris with whom she shared 20 happy years.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda and Wesley Bigelow, of Ozark, and her son, Leland and Earlene Frazier, of Buffalo, Missouri; two granddaughters, April and Richard Virden, of Springfield, Missouri, and Teresa Frazier, of Odessa, Missouri; three great-grandsons, Nick and Rachel Virden, Isaiah Gammel, and Gabriel Frazier; and two great-great-grandsons, Mason and Bennett Virden.
Helen was preceded in death by her husbands, Louis Archie Frazier in 1971, and June Morris in 1995; and her siblings, Mary Russell, Lillian Samuel, and Marion Matney.
